Pakua (Walking Circle)
In learning Pakua, each cultivator will develop the foundation of “walking the Tao”. This system is not a martial arts class but a moving meditation to center the self and connect with nature through “walking the circle”.
This system will enhance the union of body, breath, mind, and spirit. Simple hand postures will be taught to unify heaven, earth, and man, within the practitioner’s microcosm.
Various standing postures may also be taught, such as developing an “internal” palm, which has multiple usages for health and hand strengthening.
Walking Circle is an excellent health method for those with little room to practice. The joints are made more flexible, the blood flow increased, and through the breath the mind is regulated.
Pakua uses circles and body twisting, which massage your internal organs and the lymph gland system.
Eagle Palm
Eagle Palm training was designed to build grasping power of the fingers and tendons to enable the combination of both internal and external strength for various purposes. Great for those who work with their hands. In this class, you will learn to enhance your hand and finger strength through traditional training. There will be outer and inner methods described to perfect the training along with items needed to train at home. The training itself is intense and requires good physical health and a disciplined mind to reach successful attainment in this ancient art.
